We serve a range of civil society organisations, such as non-profits, social enterprises, NGOs, fundraising charities and equivalent third sector and voluntary organisations. Our clients are based in all parts of the world and we deliver our services to a very large range of countries.
We work with clients from all sectors including health, education, development and campaigning.
Our clients range in size from large international institions like the World Health Organization and European Union to nationally known charities like Hospitals and Universities as well as small locally based charities.
Our Small Charity Unit works with organisations that turnover under about £250,000 per year.
Internationally, we have offices in London, Ottawa, Milan, Geneva and Kiev. In many other countries we work with Partner Agencies or directly from the UK. See our Partners drop-down menu.
We regularly speak at fundraising events worldwide and have helped to develop fundraising workshops in many counties. For example, each year since 2000, we have assisted with the running of a fundraising workshop in Ukraine and have been involved in the development of fundraising in that country in collaboration with the Centre for Philanthropy in Kiev. This included conceptualising and helping to establish the Institute of Professional Fundraising, Ukraine.
We often speak at the AFP International Conference in the US and we have spoken at the Festival of Fundraising in Italy, the Bologna University Summer School, EU workshops in Bruissells, EU Lingua seminar in Romania, university training sessions in South Africa, and academic conferences in Washington and Paris. We also developed the first International Fundraising Workshop in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
We organise the free First Friday fundraising advice sessions in London, Ottawa, Milan and Amsterdam.
Our consultants are board members of the charities of their choice giving valuable insight into civil society governance.
Client Quotes:
"As the President of a fledgling NGO in the US, the fundraising seminar with John Baguley and grant writing workshop by Mena Gainpaulsingh were invaluable to me as a Human Rights Masters student at the University of Essex. So much information was presented that I had never even considered, and will be so helpful in pushing my organization to the next level and allowing us to pursue our goals in a faster time frame and more professional manner. Without this training, we would not be able to be as effective in our work or have the positive impact we need for our beneficiaries."

"John Baguley has helped save our small Charity! We have been working with him for about 10 years. He first came on board when we were weeks away from closing, through his guidance we were able to stave off closure and start to develop a whole range of funding strategies that have stabilised our charity, increased our donor base (both major and minor) and helped strengthen our infrastructure. We are now in the best position we have ever been in and I owe much of that to John’s continued help and support. He is great!"

"The Fire Fighters Charity worked with IFC on a Capital Appeal for the Charity’s new multi-million therapy centre for injured firefighters and burns survivors. The feasibility report and strategy they provided us with has been the catalyst for launching the appeal and making it a success."

"We have found IFC's service to be excellent. They offer a professional
and flexible service - from advising on bid and project development, to
undertaking research and writing bids. They have bought a valuable
external perspective to our fundraising work, and we have benefited from
their extensive experience and sound guidance. IFC supported our team
to develop a number of proposals including major BIG Lottery bids
(Reaching Communities and Community Libraries). 2 out of 3 have been
successful so far, bringing in over 1.6 million to our organisation."
Valerie Borne, External Funding Manager, Ealing Council.

"I was glad to be able to speak to you personally today and to let you know how very pleased we have been with Mandie McKeown's work for Afghanaid.
She has successfully put together a strategy for us which the board approved in two meetings in November. She has helped us define the different roles of the staff and taken a central role in arranging the recruitment ofa new UK Director, Dominic O'Reilly, who will be taking up the post in early January. I would particularly like to commend the way she has combined her work on the strategy with the continuing management of the fund-raising work and theexcellent relations she has developed with our staff."
