We worked with Black Cultural Archives (BCA) to help then finalise a capital appeal to convert two derelict Georgian buildings in Windrush Square, Brixham, London, UK into a magnificent Black Cultural Centre.
BCA had obtained extensive funding pledges from Lambeth Council and the Heritage Lottery Fund plus a large Biffa Award, but required more match funding and assistance in developing their programme of revenue funding.
We worked with BCA to ensure they obtained both additional grants and were able to provide the right information to actually secure the pledges they had received. This was a long term project over many months and each element of the project financing steadily came into place. We also helped BCA with the search, selection and interview process to appoint their first fundraiser.
We look forward to a long relationship with BCA.
