Mena is an experienced fundraiser specialising in capital appeals, major donor development, trusts and foundations, research and event management.
She has been working in the sector for almost 11 years, initially working at the Medical Foundation for the Care of Victims of Torture, where she helped to raise £5 million to build a new treatment centre. Following the success of this appeal she set up the major donor programme at the Medical Foundation.
Since leaving the Medical Foundation, she has run the trust programme at Rights of Women and over the past 6 years has worked as a consultant for a number of organisations, including Liberty, St Mungos, Ealing Council and Vista. Her achievements include raising significant sums from trusts and foundations, including writing and supporting organisations to develop successful bids of up to £2 million.
Mena is also a Trustee of the Institute of Fundraising and is Secretary of the Institute of Fundraising’s Consultants’ Special Interest Group.
