Lord Rennard

Lord Rennard is a world class strategist and trainer with a track record in fundraising, membership relations, direct mail and major donors. He was the Chief Executive of the Liberal Democrats from 2003 to 2009 during which time he was in charge of election campaigns, organisation and fundraising and personally headed the high net worth donor fundraising programme. Under his direction over six million pounds was raised for the 2010 general election campaign.

Lord Rennard was the youngest ever Liberal Democrat life peer when he was appointed aged thirty nine. In addition to his work in the Lords he is currently chair of the "Commission on the role of the voluntary sector in the big society" on behalf of ACEVO; a member of the advisory board of the Magna Carta Institute (Brunel University), a member of the all party parliamentary group on health and social care and treasurer of the all party parliamentary group on diabetes. He is passionate about the dangers of tobacco and is a trustee and board member of "Action on Smoking and Health."
