Valerie Harland

In the mid-eighties Valerie began her career in the voluntary sector, working for organisations such as War on Want, the NSPCC, and Mind. In late 2001 she moved to Auckland where initially she managed the fundraising for an Australasian development agency, The Fred Hollows Foundation.

In 2003 Valerie joined an international fundraising consultancy, DVA Navion, and in 2006 became its New Zealand Managing Consultant.

In 2007 Valerie settled in Bristol. Her first assignment was Bristol Zoo Gardens' £62m National Wildlife Conservation Park. More recently she has been the UK Development Consultant for the University of New South Wales and Interim Fundraising and Communications Manager for TREE AID.

Valerie Harland (MinstF Cert) obtained the Certificate in Fundraising Management from Bristol Business School in 2008.
