Kalyani is an Independent Consultant in the public and voluntary sector with a particular interest and expertise in ethnicity, age/generations and related service and policy issues. She was previously the Managing Director of PRIAE, The Policy Research Institute on Ageing and Ethnicity. Kalyani has over 15 years experience of planning and developing specialist housing and social care services for BME communities, previously as Director at Eastwards Trust, a specialist voluntary sector housing agency for South Asian older people and their carers in London and then at Hanover HA, a leading national provider of retirement housing.
She is also an Associate Consultant with the Older Peoples Programme (OPP) and is actively involved with a range of bodies working across the housing, health and social care sectors.
